The Cash Management Department is overseen by the Managing Officer, Cash & Investments, who, in turn, reports to the Chief Financial Officer, and the Investment Oversight Committee (IOC). The IOC is comprised of six members: three district personnel and three financial professionals from the local community. The three district personnel are: the Chief Financial Officer; the Director of Accounting; and the Director of Payroll.
The three members from the local financial community are: a former high-ranking official with the State Board of Administration; the former president of a community bank in Pinellas County; and an associate professor and chair with the College of Business Administration at the University of South Florida.
The IOC reviews the investment strategy of the Managing Officer, Cash & Investments, to ensure that it complies with the district's investment policy. The IOC also periodically reviews the district's investment policy and proposes changes, if needed.
