What is Leadership U?
Leadership U is a one-of-a-kind professional development program for PCS employees who are looking to lead right where they are. You'll join four fun, in-person sessions and complete some extra coursework along the way. Leadership U is all about helping you understand your leadership style and boosting your skills to become a great leader. It’s a great opportunity to grow and make a real impact!
Target Audience
Support Services personnel, Instructional, and Professional/ Technical staff who are interested in exploring how they can develop a quality leader focus in their own work processes, and who aspire to more leader-oriented roles.
Program Information
- Four mandatory sessions: October- February
- Presentation at the Showcase and Ceremony in March
- Additional mandatory courses and elective courses are listed in the application.

Celebrating Leadership & Impact in Pinellas County Schools!
On March 26, 2025, we had the incredible opportunity to witness the passion, innovation, and dedication of our Pinellas County Schools educators and staff at the Leadership U & EmpowerED U Showcase!
This culminating event highlighted the hard work of teachers and staff who have not only completed leadership coursework but also designed and implemented transformative leadership projects that create real change in their schools, departments, and communities.
Their projects and presentations were a testament to what happens when people lead with purpose—driving student success, strengthening school and department culture, and inspiring those around them. Seeing their impact firsthand was truly inspiring!
