Iron Bear is an athletic competition annually hosted by Central High School. The competition consists of 11 events: Dizzy Izzy, Damage Control, Truck Pull, Tire Flip, Fire Hose, I-Beam, 1000-Yard Relay, Agility Course, Mt. Suribachi, Hamster Wheel, and Tug-of-War. Our program always shows the most motivation, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship, and we come home with multiple trophies each year to show for it.
Cadets train for three days each week after school during the months of August and September to prepare for competition. Tryouts for each event are open to every cadet in the program. For most events, it is mandatory to have a minimum number of female cadets participate.
