School Mental Health Liaison

Pinellas County Schools has mental health liaisons to work with students who have been hospitalized due to a mental health or substance abuse crisis either within the school or community settings. They work with the local Children’s Crisis Stabilization Units and Juvenile Addiction Receiving Facilities (BayCare and PEMHS) to share appropriate information with school social workers, counselors and psychologists to assist students in transitioning back to school and to provide supportive services as appropriate.
