Ms. Sorensen received her degrees from St. Petersburg College and the University of Florida.  She began teaching in 2009 and joined the Osceola Middle School staff in 2017.  Ms. Sorensen teaches 6th science.

Ms. Sorensen was a Top 10 Finalist for Pinellas County Teacher of the Year in 2023.
