    The Florida Hometown Heroes Housing Program makes homeownership affordable for eligible frontline community workers such as law enforcement officers, firefighters, educators, healthcare professionals, childcare employees, and active military or veterans.     First-Time Home Buyer?:
    Help is available, in English and Spanish, to first-time home buyers who use HFA's Home Key Mortgage Programs to purchase a home. Visit the Pinellas County Housing Finance Authority (HFA). Access the Pinellas County First Time Home Buyers Inquiry Form.


    Not a First-Time Home Buyer?:
    Through the Target Area Loans, HFA offers higher income limits and purchase price limits for homebuyers who purchase a home in one of the HFA target areas.


     City of St. Petersburg Resources:

    • First-Time Home Buyer?
      The Purchase Assistance Program provides interest-free loans to first‑time homebuyers of new or existing single-family homes in St. Pete.     • Homeowner who needs repairs?
      The Housing Rehabilitation Assistance Program provides funding for St. Peterburg’s residents who need home repairs for code compliance, safety, or accessibility.
